Kari Matchett Biography

 Kari Matchett (Canadian actress) is famous for her role in films like Apartment Hunting' and Men with Brooms'. She was born in Spalding (Saskatchewan) and then relocated to Alberta, Canada where she completed her high school. She began to develop an interest in acting in her teens. To receive further training in acting, she enrolled at the  National Theatre School located in Montreal and later went to the  Moscow Theatre School.' She made her television debut in the year 1996, playing a supporting part in the Canadian series titled "The Rez.' Also, she appeared on series like Ready or Not' and Forever Knight' that year. In the late 1990s when she made her debut in film in the form of the film "Papertrail" and then acted in films such as "Men with Brooms" and "Cypher." In shows such as "A Nero Wolfe Mystery", and "Blue Murder" she also played supporting roles. The actress continued to appear in films through the early 2000s, however her appearances on film were not as prominent as the TV roles she played. The actress also played the character of Colleen Blessed in the 1998 Canadian drama series 'Power Play. The series received praise from critics and the public and ran for 2 seasons and 26 episodes. The actress was nominated for the 'Gemini Award' for her performance in the series. She gave birth to an infant son, Jude Lyon Matchett, in June 2013. She did not disclose the name of the father of her son however. According to some reports,, her ex-boyfriend is the father. Kari Matchett met T.W. Peacocke and T.W. Peacocke. They began dating in the late 1990s. The couple was married in 1998. The marriage, however, did not last long and the couple divorced in 2006.
