Naomi Watts

Watts (born 28 September 1968) is an British actress from Britain. When her
family moved to Australia, Watts made her debut there in For Love Alone (1986).
She then appeared in three TV series: Hey Dad.. (1990) and Brides of Christ(91)
and Home and Away (91), and Flirting (1991). After having moved to the United
States, Watts initially struggled as an actress, acting in small-scale film
until she was a part of David Lynch's psychological thriller Mulholland Drive in
2001 as an aspiring actress. This role started her rise to international
prominence. Watts then played a tormented journalist in the horror film The
Ring (2002). Because of her performance as grieving mother in Alejandro film 21
Grams, she was nominated to win the Academy Award for Best Actress. Watts's
profile continued to rise by playing starring parts in I Heart Huckabees
(2004), King Kong (2005), Eastern Promises (2007) and The International (2009).
Watts was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for her performance in
The Impossible (2012). In the decade of 2010, Watts played in films like
Birdman (2014) St. Vincent (2014) St. Vincent (2015), While We're Young (2016),
The Glass Castle (2017) and Luce (2018). Watts also continued to appear in blockbusters,
with appearances in the Divergent franchise (2015-2016).
