Natalie Dormer
was born on 11 February 1982. She is an English actress. Her accomplishments
include winning an Empire Award, and receiving nominations for the Critics'
Choice Awards as well as two Gemini Awards and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Dormer was born in Reading (Berkshire) and was first seen on television as Anne
Boleyn in the Showtime series The Tudors. This role earned her widespread
praise. Her stage debut came in the musical Sweet Nothings (2010). In Madonna's
W.E., she played the role of the Duchess and York. (2011) and Private Lorraine
in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011). The Young Vic praised her
performance in After Miss Julie (2012). Dormer gained international attention
and recognition for her portrayal of Margaery Tyrell on the HBO series Game of
Thrones (2012-2016) and Cressida in the last two parts of The Hunger Games
franchise (2014-2015) that are her highest-grossing film. She also played Irene
Adler/Moriarty in CBS's Elementary (2013-15), Sara Price Jess Price (2016,
2017) and Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019). Her performance
was praised for her character in the miniseries Penny Dreadful: City of Angels
(2020). Dormer was born 11 February 1982 in Reading, Berkshire (England), as
the daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards. She is also the mother
of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
